Our Story

The Soul of Buster’s River Lodge

Buster’s River Lodge takes its name from the original owner, Buster Ferguson, a man deeply connected to the African Bush.  Growing up in the bush, he developed a profound bond with elephants and loved spending time in Marloth Park being close to nature and the wildlife. Today, whenever these majestic creatures come to the river to drink, we are reminded that his soul lives on in every elephant that gazes across the river.

Buster’s River Lodge is a premier self-catering destination located in Marloth Park, offering stunning views of the Crocodile River and Kruger National Park. Our Lodge is designed to connect guests with nature while providing all the comforts of home, making it the perfect escape for families and friends. Over the years, we have welcomed travellers from across the globe – families eager for adventure, couples in search of a romantic escape, and locals simply looking for a peaceful retreat away from the city’s bustle. Choose Buster’s River Lodge to connect with nature and the wildlife, while creating cherished memories.
